Dolly Parton & Buck Trent with Porter Wagoner - Together Again!

Branson, Mo (Wednesday, May 16, 2007) - Buck Trent, nationally known entertainer and two-time CMA Instrumentalist of the Year, joins Dolly Parton, Marty Stuart, Patty Loveless and others to celebrate Porter Wagonerís 50th year on the Grand Ole Opry. The event will be televised live on GAC (Great American Country) at 7:00 PM (central time) on Saturday, May 19, 2007.
Buck will join Marty Stuart and his band to recreate some of Porterís and Dollyís most well-known songs including "Men With Broken Hearts", "40 Cents Cotton", "Just Someone I Use To Know", "Jolene", "I Will Always Love You", "Nine To Five", "Coat of Many Colors", and more. Buck will also solo on "Stampede".
Marty Stuart recently produced Porter Wagonerís new album, "Wagonmaster", and helped organize this event. He asked Buck to join him and his band to recreate the signature sounds of Porterís music both on the album and for this televised celebration. All of Porterís hits, as well as many of Dolly Partonís original gold records, have featured Buck Trentís electric banjo and guitar. Buck says, "Iíve been entertaining folks for over 50 years and some of my greatest memories were with Porter and Dolly. Itís great to be back on stage with them and also joining friends like Marty Stuart and Patty Loveless." The celebration will continue after the show at the studio where Porter Wagoner first taped his television show.
Buck Trent currently appears in his popular morning show at the Grand Country Music Hall in Branson, Missouri. Before arriving in Branson, Buckís career included performing on the nationally syndicated Porter Wagoner Show with Dolly Parton, Norma Jean, and other legendary country stars, as well as being a featured star with Roy Clark and Hee Haw. Trent is also known for his recordings on such Dolly Parton classics as "I Will Always Love You" and "Jolene". Buck received the coveted Country Music Association Instrumentalist of the Year award twice.
